Recipe preparation:
Warm up all of the ingredients. Mix the yeast with the sugar and the warm milk and let stand until it starts to make bubbles and rise. Put the flour into a big baking dish and add the 3 eggs, yeast with milk, vinegar, and yogurt and make soft dough. Put the dough to rest and rise for about 20-25 minutes by sprinkling with flour on top and cover with napkin and warm kitchen cloth. Take dough and knead again for 5 minutes, then leave to rest again in the same manner. Do this once more and when done take the dough and cut into nine (9) pieces. Preheat oven to 350 ° C. Grease a baking pan and tie to a knot each piece making it look like a rose, arrange dough inside. Take the egg yolk and brush on top of each piece. Bake until done on the inside and golden brown on the outside. When taking out of the oven brush the top with the butter. Lay to rest for 10-15 minutes before taking out of pan and serving. Serve warm with butter or feta cheese. Baking Tips:
- To check if inside is baked, insert a skewer in the middle. If it comes out clean, the bread in baked inside.
- If outside is done, but inside not, put a sheet of aluminum foil on top to prevent outside from burning. Caution: don't fold aluminum foil over the edges of the baking pan; just place it loose on top.
Tips:
To make it even fancier, sprinkle Feta cheese on top before baking.
