Cabbage Salad

Recipe ingredients:

½ head cabbage
3-4 celery leaves (optional)
1 tablespoon Salt
2-3 cups Water
2 tablespoons Oil
1 teaspoon Sweet Paprika

 

Recipe preparation:

Cut cabbage into strips, put into a saucepan and add salt. Rub it with your hand to let the cabbage soak the salt. Add water and celery, cover and let rest for 2-3 days at room temperature or until it starts to ferment; that's when the cabbage is ready to eat.

Drain from water, put into a salad bowl. Taste for salt, if too salty, rinse with water, if not just add paprika and oil. Mix well.

Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.
