Beef Shawarma

Recipe ingredients: 4-6 servings

2 lbs of thin sliced sirloin steak
1 cup of vinegar
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp of nutmeg
1 pinch of cardamom
1 tbsp of mashed garlic
salt to taste
Flat bread for wrapping

For side or in the wrap:

Tahini sauce
Onions
Tabouleh
Picked beets
Dill pickles
Head lettuce

 

Recipe preparation:

Thinly slice the meat, then marinate overnight in the spices, garlic and vinegar. Fry the meat in a little bit of oil until half cooked. Put in a baking tray. Cover with aluminum foil and put in the oven for about 20 minutes. Uncover, and leave in the oven for 10 more minutes. Serve wrapped in flat bread with any of the sides and tahini sauce or make it a plate of shawarma beef with sides of onions, tabouleh salad, pickled beets, dill pickles, chopped head lettuce or other.
